Bidra med feedbackDo not judge a book from the ceiling This bar and bistro have surprised me completely. The old style of the original house was accompanied and added. A savanna-drill theme. Located on the main road, it is easy to drive past. The waitress was friendly, on her game and describing with the menu. This place has everything from the plates for up to 6 people, seafood, chicken or beef burgers, wraps, carvings, surfing and lawn, wine, shooters and hard liquor. Gluten-free options are also available. Delicious side orders such as side vegetables, side salads, onion rings and a wide selection of sauces. The vegetable and chicken strips were a little oily so that they calm down on the oily love chef. I want to come back! Freshly made baguette garlic bread is a must try. Don't forget the dessert. Waffles, ice cream, chocolate brews and chocolate maus. Need a place to host a year of end function, baby showers or birthday, Medeiras does it all.
Wow, wow and wow! I was at Madeira's pre-block last time. Well new owner Rory has overtaken himself, made some amazing decor changes, inside and outside its now bright, colorful, spacious and very pleasant. My friend Emma, suggested we try Madeira, I must say that I was sceptical after my last visit. I was pleasantly surprised. The food is openly amazing. We started to share with the Peri peri chicken livers. Mild hot, with a spectacular delicious creamy sauce. Well presented and delicious mouthwater. The manager Justin then offered us free jager masters on the house, these were nicely chilled that I never had before and went a leak. Next we decided for the special of the day a seafood plate for a red or white wine on R175 including a carafe. I must say I'm often tired of Speacials and was definitely not expected what arrived at our table. Wow, wow and wow again, what came was a gastronomic surprise and an enormous portion of seafood pleasure. A bowl of creamy mussels 12 x , 6 x shrimps, Calamari strips, Calamari tickles, a part of the broken hakefish, a part of the chips and a decent serving of tartaric acid sauce. It was all delicious. Then we had the Amarula cream crumble dessert. This was well presented with ice cream and a good crunchy caramelized tip. Also delicious. Thanks to our very helpful and attentive waiter Chanté. I appreciate this place 9/10 and worth a visit. I will certainly return. Thanks to the team of Madeira for a pleasant afternoon.
Beautiful neighborhood hangout with daily specialties that are generous portions and well prepared. Also a daily drink on special. Rowing fire inside for these rainy days and many outdoor seating for the summer.
Nice place with good food. Only the problem is not to order frits with the plates. Not anymore. Dissapointed that it is a well-known fact that the part for which you pay R65 is a quarter of what you receive for R45 as a page. I'm sure someone fixes it...
Loving the new Madeiras. Seems so much bigger now after renovations. Really friendly and efficient complement of staff. The new owner Rory (ex Victoria times in fish hoek) has brought his great personality to the place along with a nice fresh, upmarket feel.
