Magnolia Room - CAPE MAY

The Magnolia Room is located in the Chalfonte Hotel. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Hostess must seat you or have an reservation reserved. Magnolia Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The steak, butter potatoes, asparagus and the peanut butter bar are my favorites on the menu so far.

As long time customers of the Chalfonte we were so happy to see it booming with customers. We loved staying and eating there for years. The hostess kindly squeezed us in the dinning room, due to no room on the porch. However, things went down hill. It felt like the waitress did not have time for us because she was busy with her station on the porch. We had bread plates but, they no longer serve their delicious bread/rollls. All entrees except for one were served on a luncheon/salad plate ??? . All but one entree did not fill the plate. My spicy pork tenderlions were over cooked and lacked any spice. The food was room tetemperature at best. Sadly, not the Chalfonte dinning experience of the past.

Tonight my husband I celebrated our 29th anniversary with dinner at the magnolia room. It was superb! Excellent all the way what a lovely place. Huge added bonus was the terrific musical abilities of Mike Monfrey we enjoyed around the bar afterwards. Thx for a great night!

Staff was very attentive and food was great. The live music was great and not too loud.

Ok my husband’s chicken was great! My veggie lasagna not so much! Hostess was not friendly! We arrived 5 mins early and she wouldn’t seat us! The waitresses were great
