Ribeyes Steakhouse- Cape Carteret

First time at this restaurant. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, and the hostess and server were courteous and delightful. However, when we arrived, I heard a kitchen staff make a comment when he saw us, Oh no or something similar. I guess he was ready to leave.

Overpriced and waited an hour for food. Not at all like it use to be. Won’t be going back.

Over priced, food not great. Can get better food for less elsewhere. Think the only reason this location is around still is due to the tourists. Jacksonville location didn't last long at all.

I have been a fan of this place since they had the spot in Jacksonville, so we do go back. Every time we come back in town this has been a frequent stop. I can remember many years back when they had the sofas and the fine dining experience with the dim lights and the ambiance. Well on this family trip we were openly greeted by an uninvited guest at our dinner table by the fireplace. The place was coming off a surge so there were quite a few tables with patrons. The roach appeared by the fireplace and scaled the wall moving toward the floor. I quietly grabbed the roach in a napkin without causing a commotion and gave it to one of their servers, showing him the size of the specimen. Since the prices and size of plates continue to be at odds, I suspected a manager would respond to this issue immediately. The issue was not addressed by any management, and we were offered more food in the form of varied cheesecakes. Nothing was comped or discounted on the hefty bill. Things have changed significantly; truly disappointing.

Hometown steakhouse.....taste of cuisine but the feeling that you made it at home. Wonderful simple delicious
