Trattoria Al Faro Di Moro Sileno

Right on the very edge of town, by the boat ferry over to Porto Santa Margarita, this place is mainly frequented by Italians. Lots of seating inside but we sat out on the terrace and returned a number of times to sup here overlooking the water. God service. Good value.

Great food ; nice atmosphere ;this place recommended by staff of our hotel ; as we asked for “not very touristic” restaurant ; but as I was reading the negative comments ; was not sure to visit , but thanks god we visited …. Has a lot of regular customers ; And as usual “regulars” never writing reviews ;

The worst experience ever I am shocked and appalled. Their attitude is incredibly terrible. This place has zero respect for its clients and should just go away asap. Me and my husband came here to try some typical Italian dishes and guess what? Both the owner and a waiter kept saying that we have to order quickly as the curfew is at 11pm. Me and my husband felt uncomfortable as both the waitress and the owner didn’t use a warm and educated tone of voice it was irritated. Anyways we ordered, ate (spaghetti with salmon for me and gnocchi with scamps for my husband); the salmon wasn’t fresh it was kinda hard to chew while my husband’s scamps were fresh while the gnocchi probably re-cooked. The point is that I have received a warm welcome from almost every other restaurant but I won’t be returning here ever again. Ps: when we left at 10.50pm (10 minutes before the curfew) there were still 30-35 people sitting at the table drinking wine and having dinner. Pps: 15€ for gnocchi and scamps 12€ for spaghetti and salmon 5€ table fee 3€ a bottle of water
