La Parrilla - Cañuelas

A must if you are staying near canuelas, an extraordinarily good surprise in an unlikely position - great argentine food

When we asked our driver from El Metejon for a nice place to have lunch after some shopping in Canuelas, he did not have to think twice and suggested La Parilla straightaway! When we arrived at a gas station we were not so sure, but once inside everything changed immediately. There is a play zone for the little ones while parents can enjoy a mouthwatering lunch. You can choose from a large selection and also the wine list is something many London restaurants can learn from. We liked it so here that we returned for dinner the next day!! We will definitely come back here when we are in the region again.

Don't be put off by the fact it is next to a gas station . How many gas stations have an Asado grill big enough to BBQ a family of four or wine chillers on hand to cool the locks produce . We arrived at 845 on the recommendation of the estancia..by 930 it was packed with locals. We enjoyed two courses with sides with a bottle and a half of very good wine for £50. You could eat for a lot less..starters at £2. 00 and mains around £7-10. The cuts of meat were fantastic and perfectly cooked...if you are in the area go here....

The food was good, however not to the average Americans taste. Steak, chicken and pork were great, the sausage was not what I expected. If you’re not sure about very fatty sausage or blood sausage, I would steer clear of the mixed grill. The wine selection was good and the prices are reasonable. I would go back for wood fired grilled steak.

Who knew a great steak place could be located in a gas station?!? The quality of the food is amazing and the price is very good.
