Bidra med feedbackIf you enjoy traditional pubs over other types, then this is the spot for you. The sign outside confirms it's a true pub. The locals are friendly, with an interesting way of speaking. The hand-pulled London Pride and delicious pinot were reasonably priced. The live music group was talented, though the music style may not have been to everyone's taste. There was a bit of drama with two locals at the bar, but it was more comical than anything. If you appreciate authentic pubs with good drinks and entertainment, this is the place for you. Personally, I had a great time.
Seven of us had a Christmas meal last Saturday evening. The restaurant was full, but our meals were served together and were delicious. We had chosen in advance but the servers took the time to make sure we all had exactly what we wanted on the day. All the staff were friendly and we did not feel rushed to finish. A very enjoyable evening.
My partner and I often come here for a roast or a pizza and the food is just phenomenal. We’re both vegetarian and the options are so amazing. The staff here are always so friendly and it has such a welcoming atmosphere. We also often bring our small dog with us and they couldn’t be more welcoming to doggy’s either. 10/10 would 100% recommend to anyone.
I went to visit my friend for the weekend, we popped into The Maidens Head for a drink on the way back from the station, it is a lovely pub and the owners and staff are also lovely. We popped in again on Sunday for a roast and I can honestly say it was the best roast I have ever eaten in a pub. I hate to admit it but it was even better than my own roasts.. Well done. I will be popping in again the next time I am visiting my friend.
This restaurant is well-managed with a welcoming staff and delicious food. The new addition of authentic Jamaican cuisine on Thursdays and Fridays adds an exciting twist. Known for their excellent Sunday Roasts, the pub now offers an even wider variety of menu options.
