Bidra med feedbackMy wife and I went to brown sugar after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed. We had great seafood platter and several Hendricks and tonics. Owner was fantastic, friendly, and great host for us and the other diners sitting outside for...relaxing evening. My wife and I are planning to go back at least once more this week while on vacation!
Fantastic location and gary the owner is the most comfortable person in cannes. it is my local in cannes. fantastic eating and drinking. hosted a small recipe for about a dozen people in a moment notice and they sections an opposite outside, where they really capture the full feeling of the opposite in a funny, casual and upbeat setting. very recommend to stop by saying hi to gary and alex and they will understand the uniqueness of brown sugar!
Spending the day in Cannes we wanted to stop for a beer around lunch time and found Brown Sugar up a side street . A great find and we decided to try a fish sharing platter to go with his beer and my glass of...Sancerre. Wow is all I can say ! We really loved it , so tasty. It had prawns, smoked salmon, sardines and a fish pate with avocado and salad with bread and toast for the pate. There was plenty of everything on the well presented board. The guy serving us was friendly and we enjoyed the service. Loved the high tables at the front , the chairs were really comfortable. A really nice spot! Highly recommend this place!
Brown Sugar has become my new favorite hangout! Gary is the nicest host ever and genuinely cares about people having a good time. Amazing food, amazing selection of wines and great place to meet people! Recently, they started doing bottomless egg benedict and drinks for...sunday brunch! I recommend going 100%. Love you Gary! Definitely will be back as much as possible! Asia
Luckily we ordered only the "tapas" and somehow we refrained ourselves to order main course. I just couldn't believe when the "Galician Sardines" I ordered were actually a tin can of sardines, some toast, a lump of butter (?!) and some salad. Canned food at a restaurant price, unbelievable!!!The rest of the tapas (prawns, Danish meatballs, zucchini flowers, etc.) were fried from frozen probably as it had a terrible fast-food smell and taste.I would strongly advise to avoid the place unless you don't care what you eat or how many thousands of calories you can instantly pack up!
