La Brasserie du Marche - Cannes

Had the truffle ravioli, beef and potatoes and a cheese platter which was really enjoyable. Had some trouble choosing the wine but our waiter was very accommodating and hospitable. The cheese platter had a beautiful selection with great bread, would definitely recommend.

Wandered in after browsing round the nearby market (worth a visit by the way). A very friendly welcome from the staff. We only had coffees but food also looked good. Would definitely go back.

I love it here! You can sit watching the market while having a cold pint and something to eat!They have an excellent selection of Tartine's which are inexpensive!The internet connection is quick!It's hard to get a table during peak hours, unless you sit inside!Well worth a visit!

We dropped in on this little brasserie by accident while in town for different errands. It took a while to get service but the waiter was tending all the tables by himself. Taking that in account we where actually impressed by his efficiency and friendly manners. Gazing at tables nearby confirmes that this place offers some good looking salads. Maybe not surpricing, says Nina, they have the benefit of having the Marché Fortville just across the street. We ordered the rosé of the day and a Carlsberg. The rosé (Domaine de la Sangliére) was cool, and full bodied. The Carlsber was, well, Carlsberg. Then our meals arrived, first my Salad de Canard, a minute later Nina got her Salad Nicoise.I've had my share of salads on the french riviera, and let me tell you; La Brasserie du Marché beats them all.The salad contained three types of duck, cured, cooked and foie gras. It was perfectly balanced with balsamico vinegar and olive oil. The duck was tasty and tender and the salad was plentyful with delicious fresh ingredients that we imagine have come straight from the farm this morning. Ninas Nicoise was equally recommendable. Beautifully arranged with delicious fresh vegetables and a nice salty touch of anchovies. All the flavors a girl can ask for in a traditional Salad Nicoise.Unfortunately we arrived just as the food marked closed at 2pm and this means that the area becomes quite noisy, due to the clean up of the market. For that reason we would reccomend that you have your meal here before 2pm.

Right outside a great food market with the sun shining. Great place to sit and relax outside or inside (air conditioned)We sat here for a good hour just watching locals collecting there food and going about their day to day lives.Great service and food looked good.
