Escale - Cannes

We visited the island for a day and decide to have our lunch at the restaurant. We hadn’t booked a table, which is preferable if you want to have a seat near the beach, but fortunately there was one free. We had pasta with seafood, paella seafood and paella nero also with seafood. All the dishes were of good quality and tasteful.

Love this quaint restaurant on Ste. Marguerite Island. The waiter was awesome. He spoke enough English and I spoke enough French to make it work. We ordered drinks and meals. The meals were delicious. We ordered chicken Caesar salads and octopus tentacle (tentacule de poulpe).

Really nice place to eat after walking around St. Marguerite Island. Good food and fair price. Great view of the bay to Cannes.

I could not recommend this place more. We didn't have a booking but got a great table. Very friendly staff and great food. We had gamba linguine and a steak tartare. Both were excellent. We came back later in the afternoon, to have a couple of beers and again got given a great table. As we left, our waiter (friendly guy with a pony tail) thought each of us paid the bill and ran after us to give us the extra cash. Very honest as well as being friendly. Highly recommended. We will go back soon

To get here, take the ferry to Ile Sainte-Marguerite. The island is simply amazing. The food here was also amazing. Because we could not speak the language, we felt a little uncomfortable. Staff looked our way a bit and seemed to be watching us a lot, so that was a bit different. However, we would certainly come again. The food and views were wonderful.
