The Canmore Hotel

Pretty good food. Friendly staff I thought it was the 1890 smokehouse. But they didn't change it. But the restaurant was still good. I'd go back here.

The service was extremely slow on the day we were there, it would have been helpful if the server that was not all that pleasant, said that there would be a wait for the food because they were underused in the kitchen. My brisket on... a bun was very fat, although very tasty. Fortunately, it was a beautiful sunny day so sitting and waiting was manageable.

The restaurant may not have the most appealing ambiance, but it has a cozy feel to it. I tried the chili and it was delicious! It had a mix of beans, including chickpeas, perfectly balanced spices, and a smoky flavor. The nachos we ordered were huge and perfect for sharing. The service was friendly and the prices were reasonable.

Do not let yourself be fooled by the appearance of the facility - they have Stella beer and a large chicken club sandwich. Closed Tues and Wed open all other days!

This is a pub inside the Canmore hotel but do not pass it by! Their smoked meat is the best! We enjoyed the brisket sandwich and Roasted chicken club. Staff was super friendly and we enjoyed our evening watching the game :
