Great place with a great history and a perfectly eclectic menu. The French decorated dumplings are crazy and tasty, and the kung pao chicken was equally impressive. Shanghai style pig dumplings and chickens Curry dumplings were also solid. No xiao long bao sad, maybe in the future??
The place is great! Great decor, good chilled atmosphere, delicious Chinese/French cuisine. Owners are super friendly. We tried the signature dumplings, the chicken cong pao, the forest, everything was really good. For dessert we have steamed matcha dumping filled with a kind of Chinese crème terraces, it was amazing.
Large dumplings in both classic flavors, such as roasted pork, and more innovative styles, such as truffles and shrimps. Super filling and decent price. Lemon meringue was also very good.
Not quite a 5 star restaurant but definitely more than 4 stars. The restaurant is simple and charming, nothing fancy. The menu is a slightly odd combination of fusion Chinese and French, but if either of these ticks any of your boxes, then you're in luck. The prices are cheap... for the neighborhood. The food is mostly good and I give them credit for some interesting fusion choices, but there was something slightly off on the taste of both our dishes, the Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken Wonton Soup. Both were traditional, not fusion dishes and yet the spices weren't quite right. Still a good meal overall.
