What an absolutely magnificent meal. Under the ever watchful eye of Albert the manager, this restaurant performs like a Swiss watch. Culinary highlights were the steamed fish--the best fish I have EVER tasted--and the prawn and scallop toast. Service was exemplary, particularly from Zac. This restaurant is one of Canberra's finest and attracts visitors from interstate just for it, with due reason.

Wow not sure what we were expecting but this place completely superseded all our expectations! Loved the retro decor and amazing ambiance. Service was sublime from start to finish. We were a group of 6 and we went with the Tasting Menu. Every single dish was beautifully presented and skilfully crafted. Highlights were the “Rock oyster somenn noodles gazpacho” , the “Kohlrabi Rock Lobster”, and the whole "Siu Mei Platter”. Beautiful sorbet to round out the meal. Highly recommended!
6 people attended Chairman and Yip on Wednesday 30/11. We shared a banquet most of which was ok nothing out of the box. A lot of shellfish which I could not eat. The replacement meals for the shellfish was inedible! The Staff were obviously pushed for time therefore the service was poor. We received a bill of $1000 for a very average meal. The one bottle of wine was charged at $150 it was a $50 bottle of wine. My overall rating is minus zero!!
