Taste of Bangladesh - Canberra

I came here last night for an early dinner, we were the first in, and it didn't get much busier while we were there. Pleasantly surprised with the food. Tasty cheese and spinach naan. I tried the prawn curry, very fresh and plenty of prawns. The food was on the slightly oily side compared to most Indian style dishes that I've had. All in all, tasty and affordable.

80% of the dishes are Indian born, tried one special Bengali dish,still similar like korma .impressive nd tastey.

Very nice food and service. We live in uk, just visit Australia. I am owned taste of India kings lynn. Completely different food uk and Australia (Indian and Bangladeshi )uk special for English taste. If anyone visit uk kings lynn must visit taste of India.

Last week we had lamb but taste like beef. Be careful. Horrible food, hygiene issue, very bad service, no communication.

By far the best Indian I have eaten in a long time!!!We first discovered this little hidden (and hard to find!) gem, when my partner and I purchased a groupon discount voucher. Normally we are only just satisfied and find many of the restaurants on these discount vouchers "average". Not this place! We scored here big time! And. We have been back since with our son!The food is so flavorsome and incredibly fresh. You can hear the chef (owner, waiter ... does it all himself) out the back chopping. And on one visit I saw him sneak out and return with a Coles bag full of fresh produce for my vegetarian dish I had just ordered!The place itself lacks ambience. It's small. Quiet. A little dated, and one visit the owners children were in the restaurant playing on ipads. This didn't bother me at all, but it may some. So I mention it.Anyways it's the food, taste, value and service that brings me back to a place. Not the table cloths or view out the window.Full stars for this place. The only thing I could ever fault it on is the lack of "atmosphere". It's empty most nights (they do majority take aways). But again. If your after the best tasting indian then this is the place. If your after a great looking restaurant with lots of people, amazing views and all the top quality finishings. But serves only average food. This isn't for you. But the choice is yours. And we choose this place every time!
