Polit Bar - Canberra's Lounge

When I was visiting, we stopped at this place for tranny Trivia-es was fabulous! delicious cocktails, campy songs and dirty innuendo from the host, great for a night! make sure they make reservations-it is quite a small place in the upper floor; I could see walk-ins sitting with problems!

Don't go to dinner. with our drinks we ordered snacks. we were looking forward to the 3 pieces of black bell. we were served on a sad piece of salad. disappoint.

Mediocre cocktails. I and my wife came up when they first opened and the cocktail menu and the bar staff were very promising. during the room very nice in the upper floor it is a cocktail bar and the cocktails are no longer to be amusing. they no longer have good bar staff and the drinks are too expensive. because there are so many other cocktail bars in canberra, I would give this one a missing one.

Big place. we did a comedy show in the polit bar, they were very courteous and it was a very funny night.

Polite this bar is not. Went to go upstairs with my Christmas party of 8 and was refused service because my partner was in shorts. Never mind he was in a $169.00 collard Hugo Boss shirt and $120.00 shoes, he was wearing shorts on 25 degree night. Do not go here they do not care about your service obviously more than the image they are are trying to protect. Good luck with that.
