With a brief but encompassing menu and well mannered staff who knew the menu as well as the cooks, the experience was both opulent and down to earth. A great selection of wines to accompany any meal choice. Every course was an adventure in texture and flavours and left me feeling unhappy about eventually having to depart. The ambience gave an impression of seclusion even though the restaurant was full, and although the staff were very responsive, they never hovered nor imposed unnecessarily. A great restaurant with magnificent food.
A very stunning and sophisticated looking restaurant with ample indoor and outdoor seating. The jazzhop music playing in the background completed the vibe and feel of the place. I was very impressed with every meal I had here. Started with a steak tartare and escargot. The steak tartare was beautifully balanced and was fresh and smooth. The escargot was delicious and texture was perfect, not too overly rubbery. It was definitely the stand out dish for me for the night. For main, I had confit duck leg which was cooked to perfection and had a delicious jus to tie the meal together. I also had a try of my partner's rare scotch fillet steak with bearnaise sauce. It was cooked and rested well, yay meat respected. Definitely will be back again for sure.
