Cargill's - Camps Bay iNingizimu Afrika

Wow, wow, wow. This place is the definition of a hidden gem. (We almost couldn't find it, and it's practically right on our doorstep! We had a lovely meal here. The restaurant is small, homely, and slightly outdated, but that doesn't seem to matter, because the food and service is simply outstanding. There was only one waiter, but she handled all 8 tables without an issue. The chef is fabulous, and gave us attention on several occasions, coming to ask whether we were enjoying the meal, providing recommendations and offering his specialities that were not on the menu (Camembert Crème Brule! . You'll go a far way to beat this one in terms of really good attention to customer service and satisfaction. Thumbs up! We will be back soon.

This is one of my favourite places on the planet. Everything about it makes me happy. The food is so delicious. Classic French made with exceptional quality ingredients. Closest I've come to feeling like I'm in a French bistro in South Africa. The waiter and chef are so welcoming. Always an amazing experience. Cargill's rating on here is wrong. All the reviews are 4.5 or above. Something is sketchy...

Cargill 's 'AMAZING RESTAURANT 'The Restaurant is located in a quaint old house opposite the Rondebosch Station. The restaurant is small so advisable to book.The food is amazing and very well priced.Staff were all very friendly. I will be back on my next visit

A difficult one to find, probably best kept secret in the area. Only a few tables and very honest food. Owner Chef is present and wonderful to chat to. We will definitely be back and recommend to all!

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Very cozy personal setting. Highly recommended! It's a fabulous spot for a special occasion I can't wait to go back.
