So, I use to go every summer there departing from Campitello, walking up towards Val Duron this beautiful mountain valley where you walk beside the river all the time . This is a long way walking but at half way there is this amazing spot called Baita Lino Brach, Baita is the North-Italian slang-name to call a little mountain house made by wood. Lino Brach was the founder. Giorgio the chef and son's founder is going to take care of your appetite with his delicious dishes; usually typical from the region. Trentino alto Adige Polenta with rabbit or deer and many else. Everything fresh and local. Giorgio in his free time uses to sculpt wood. That s why the garden is filled with sculptures. Check it out and respect the nature.
In a strategic position, in the middle of the beautiful Val Duron (which ends in Campitello coming from the Dolomites of the Catinaccio), the beautiful hut has just been renovated and renovated, away and inside, excellent combination tradition and update. On a beautiful sunny day in February, not cold, with a beautiful blue sky we walked from Campitello di Fassa to Baita Lino Brach. Although the road was covered with snow the ascension was pleasant and lasted about an hour and three quarters with a moderate gait and enjoying every view of the measurable Duron valley. Once at the hut and after having been pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the place could not miss an equally beautiful place to eat and recover. In fact to see this new, cozy and with inside all meticulously ordered and appropriate was rewarding. We ordered caneders and gulash, polenta with mushrooms water wine 1 sweet and 2 coffee. Total expenditure 51,10 euro. My judgment is very good: cleanliness, courtesy, food prepared with care and celerity in bringing to the table. Unfortunately the place was full and not being very big it created a little chaos at the time of payments. Also note that you can take advantage of a transfer on a snowmobile from the cabin to Campitello for a fee. I also recommend that you book otherwise you may not find a place. I recommend it to all and thank the managers for their commitment.
We had lunch outside, great soup, nice staff. even if it was full, fast times.
