Bidra med feedbackSalad was bomb, great rice and chicken. Bbq plate was simple but fantastic, great bbq taste. Soup of the day is always the same, some pumpkin thing. Plantain was great
Never had Caribbean food before. Came here due to a friend's recommendation. Gotta say the food was delicious. Not sure how it compares to other Caribbean food spots. But I definitely recommend giving them a try. I ordered the jerk chicken and ox tail, did not disappoint.
We tried Jerk Chicken and BBQ chicken. Both were very good. Plantains are excellent. Rice is plain. Fries are good. Restaurant is clean Employees are friendly and service was quick. Portions are good size
*Third time eating here* I got Back A Yard for lunch today and it reminded me to write a review!! This place is so good! Everything is flavorful and cooked right. What I've tried here: Bbq chicken: personally this is my fav, maybe more so than the jerk. The bbq sauce is slightly sweet and the chicken is always tender and juicy even if you order white meat which tends to run dry usually Jerk pork chicken: very good! I like the pork a bit more than the chicken, but both are delicious! The pork falls apart in your mouth. The jerk seasoning is flavorful and not spicy in case you're worried it might be. Mac n cheese: my favorite! Never thought I'd rate mac n cheese at a restaurant but here we are lol! Very good and cheesy but not overly so that it's greasy and not consumable. Check out my photo! I cannot comment on the store/ atmosphere or service as I've only ordered my food via DoorDash for those long work days.. I usually order for lunch and there's so much food it lasts me well into dinner and sometimes lunch the next day! Do not snooze on this place! If you're unsure if you'll like the jerk chicken or pork, you can order a little side of the sauce for 25 cents and try it. I did that my first order before ordering a full plate.
I am a connoisseur of good Jamaican food and I have had two entrees from this restaurant on two different occasions. My first entree was the ackee and codfish plate. The ackee and codfish was too salty to eat. The codfish had not been properly soaked and rinsed well. The plantains were overcooked and dry. I tried the restaurant again today, jerk salmon plate. The salmon was grilled, without being seasoned and served with a bit of jerk sauce on the side for dipping. My plantains were so overcooked dry and tasteless. I didn't eat them. I asked to speak with a manager, the young lady was pleasant, however had no clue how Jamaican food is prepared. I asked for a number to contact the owner and was told I would have to voice my opinions online. So here I am.
