Gourmet Java - Campbell River

This small coffee shop in Campbell River serves the best coffee, with a strong flavor that is never bitter.

Although I don't typically drink coffee, I really appreciate the meals at this restaurant. The homemade dishes and soups are a delicious treat. The owner even makes their own salad dressing and pickled red onions for sale, which I have purchased and thoroughly enjoyed. My go-to dish here is the chicken quesadilla made with tender chicken breast meat.

If you are in search of great coffee, this hidden gem is worth a try. The blueberry muffin was delicious and the latte was top-notch. They also offer free wifi. Overall, a charming local café.

Campbell River doesn't seem to do coffee very well, but this place is an exception. It's our go-to coffee shop. Good, rich coffee. The food is pretty decent, too. The restaurant itself is no great shakes to look at, but that's not why we go.

Have been going here for many years. Michel is a chef par excllence. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous. Great food, great coffee, uptown feel, some soft seats too. Corner of Dogwood and Second. A wonderful place to have lunch or coffee and a home baked treat.
