Crabby Bob's Seafood - Campbell River

Enjoyed a Crab Boil with my daughter and her bf from Kamloops this week. Absolutely amazing. On a bobbing dock is the place to be. Crabby (not so) Abby and the staff are so great. The seafood was so plentiful and delicious! We went for an experience and it exceeded expectations! Will be back for sure

We stopped by Crabby Bob 's last Wednesday during our trip to Campbell River and ordered their seafood chowder. The ingredients that were put in the chowder were fresh, but the chowder isn 't anything close to what we expected. Each seafood ingredient tasted good, but what was served to us also looked very different from the photos taken by other customers.Our chowder was very runny with a single shrimp, one clam, one mussel, a very small chunk of salmon, and a tiny piece of potato. I 'm not sure if they had a different cook that day, but they did have a sign saying that they close early for some reason. My boyfriend 's mom approached the staff to give our feedback as we were paying, and the girl on the till did say, Oh, okay. Sorry about that. Nonetheless, I don 't think their soup/chowder is worth 18 dollars. Maybe we should have ordered something else.

Ordered their Loaded Seafood Chowder but it just had a small chunk of salmon and 2 pieces of shellfish. They advertised it having potatoes but mine had none. The soup was runny and watered-down, I could barely taste the chowder. It was all put in a small disposable cup with a bun and two small pieces of Kellogg 's crackers on the side. It was definitely not worth the 20 bucks. Not to mention that we had to wait 20 minutes for a small cup of chowder and they didnt even offer us any water. Not coming back here again, one for the slow service, two for the flavorless food, three for the overpriced menu.

We discovered a great restaurant in Campbell River. We arrived too late to dine in, but takeout worked for us. They quickly steamed a fresh crab for us, and dinner was served! Our meal included a small coleslaw and dinner biscuits. It was a great option for a hassle-free night of not having to cook.

We tried the steamed crab and steamed shellfish box and they were both incredibly fresh and delicious. The quality was so impressive that I ended up getting a second shellfish box to take home. If you're in the area and craving seafood but don't feel like cooking, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. They also offer live and frozen seafood options for purchase to enjoy at home.
