Bidra med feedbackI cannot emphasize enough how amazing this place is! As a devoted fan of pies and beer, I couldn't resist the claim of having the best pie in London. And let me tell you, it absolutely lived up to the hype. Not to mention, the selection of beers was impressive as well. If you're searching for an authentic British dining experience and a scrumptious pie, this is the spot for you. The setting is wonderful, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend it!
This restaurant is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of busy Regents Street. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with no loud music. The decor is charming and fits well with the traditional style of the pub. We tried the pies, fish, and steak kidney dishes, all of which were delicious and served piping hot. We were too full to try the desserts, but we plan on returning soon because we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
No surprises, great steak and kidney pie. A bit confusing multi-lingual service, but understood each other in the end. No wonder the place was packed full.
Thanks to research we were led to the windmill pub just off Oxford Street. What a great find. Downstairs was completely full with such a great vibe not to mention the glorious smell. We were lucky enough that it was a five day and we’re taking upstairs to the outside garden. So quaint and unique. The service was great. We waited a while but belief it to be worth it and it sure was. We had the steak and mushroom pies and a chicken and leek pie and a steak and kidney pie. Best pie we have ever had. Not a crumb was left. Look forward to returning. Well worth putting this on the top of your list. Especially on a cold day.
We stumbled on this on our way back to our hotel from Oxford street and so glad we found it. The pie was gorgeous with chips and oven baked beans, I was in heaven. Will definitely try it again. The staff are great and the atmosphere is good and the prices were good as well.
