The Brownestone Gastropub - Cambridge

Second try. We tried to get in there last week but was turned away as they were having an event. First for us. We tried again and then this time were successful. I had the quesadilla which were ok but nothing special. My wife had the fish and chips which were really good. French fries were outstanding. Usually you get small containers of dip but here they gave us a decent amount of Tatar sauce and sour cream. Not great atmosphere. Service was friendly but a little slow. Will try again but not rush back. Prices were average.

Brownestone's has a lot of room for improvement but their wings are consistently the best in Cambridge. If you are looking for great wings, definitely check this place out. Lots of different flavour options recommend: Dry Cajun, Les Canadienne, and Garlic Parmesean "Gar-Par".

Decided to do take out of the fish and chips special. Truly disappointed. Fish was blah and coleslaw had no flavour whatsoever. They were nice enough to separate our fish and chips in individual containers since we ordered 2 pieces of fish and they literally gave us a tiny handful of fries. What a joke. No serviettes, no cutlery, nothing. Truly disappointed since we were craving this! Won't be returning and won't be recommending.

While there was only one other table with people when we got there it did soon start to fill up. Our meal was good, but another table had the stew, that looked more like soup. Not bad prices. Music most nights I think

I ordered the specialty Mac & Cheese which was delicious. The service was a little slow, definitely somewhere to go when you're not in a rush. Well worth the wait though.
