Bidra med feedbackI bought 3 different meat pies at the St Jacob's market this past weekend.all of which I was excited to try. One was a blue cheese and steak pie. It had absolutely no blue cheese and about 3 pieces of steak. Extremely disappointed as I know the two flavors work together well. . The steak and mushroom pie had about the same inside. Bought the curry chicken pie and was at odds looking for the chicken. the flavor was great but it had two tiny pieces of chicken in it. So essentially there was nothing but the pie dough . For 17 dollars for 3 pies and they were pretty much empty. So all in all a very very disappointing situation.
It was great selection! Bakery was looks so good. Feels like I am in England right now. I miss travel to England so much... But, when I come here makes me happy. I am glad I can come here.
What a truly hidden gem in Cambridge! Full of imported snacks and goods, I was so happy to find English Dairy Milk Buttons (my favourite! Jams, crisps and custards are also found here. There's an assortment of frozen meats in the back, as well as cold drinks. I picked up a loaf of Scottish bread, which was SO soft and moist I had a plain slice in my car because I was excited by how good the bread felt and it tastes DELICIOUS just on it's own, highly recommend. The chicken curry pastry is also so tasty, I am impatiently planning my next visit to try the other types. The store itself is basically spotless and maintained very well. The woman who checked me out was pleasant friendly. My only regret is ruining wonderbread for myself after having their Scottish bread.
I bought some rolls and small single steak pies. Only gravity and pastries. Something changed. Pieces used to be full of meat. I'm sorry for the price you have to go back to your old meat management.
Michelle was the most friendly salesman I was allowed to talk to for a long time. Great service!
