Bidra med feedbackI love, love, love Beertown. It is so awesome for its selection of beers. Some local - all craft from around the world even (proved by today's sample from the Netherlands). So much beer selection. If you love trying new beers - this is definitely the place for you.Now food wise, I have my go tos that are an acceptable price for me... however, I'd echo other comments in saying that it is pricey! Salad options with tuna or chicken into the $20 range seems steep indeed. But that being said, I've never had a bad meal or experience at Beertown. The food is always great. Just a little out of my price range for lunch. The staff are the best. I've been coming since it opened and have always had good service - knowledgable and friendly. It's not to say that during busy rushes that things haven't gone a little sideways but almost every visit has been awesome. If I'm heading to Cambridge or passing by on the 401 - I'm definitely stopping at Beertown!
This establishment has a lively vibe to it & is popular with the locals. It was quite noisy when our group dined here on a Saturday night. There was quite a wait for the menus & an even longer wait for our meals (1hr 15mins). Granted we were a large group but some of us didn't get our meals until others had finished their desserts! Not good enough. We only dined here because our assistant coach made the suggestion to as we were visiting from the Durham Region. If I'm ever in this neighbourhood again then I'll be dining else where. To the Managment, something really needs to be done about the organisation & service with groups. Having to wait so long for food orders is ridiculous, especially when there are children (some very young) waiting to eat - sort it out, you really need to do things better.
I have been to the Waterloo Beertown and had a very pleasant experience there, so I decided to try this place. To say it as it was, I was pretty disappointed by my experience. I found that the server took forever to come to us (it wasn't busy), and she was also kind of unpleasant. The food however was also prettt sub-par (Mac and cheese) and would not recommend it. Definitely wouldn't go back. I go to a variety of restaurants fro, high-end to small town breakfast and burger joints and haven't had this bad of service in a long time.
On our journey through Cambridge afternoon at Lion African Safari, the family and I went to Beertown for a beautiful meal. The kids had Mac n' Cheese or a Cesar Salad while my wife enjoyed also a salad while I had the Mongolian chicken sandwich. Food was enjoyed by all. Service was completed with a smile. We actually didn't have to wait long for our meals. I personally enjoyed my four x 5oz glasses of local craft beer. When I got the bill, no sticker shock. It ended on par to other similar meals the family and I have had at similar restaurants. If your ever in the Cambridge area, I highly recommend Beertown particularly if you are looking for good food and the option of over 30+ beers from around the world or local good ones.
Service is very good, food is good, atmosphere is great, list and flavors of craft beer is awesome, open until 1:00 AM, very very good burgers..!! Since the craft beer list is very good and international it is also a little pricey for my taste, not a good place to drink beer if you are in a budget, there also the regular beer that is affordable as in any type of this places. Highly recommended I loved the place and will be back soon..!!!
