Poké City - Cambridge

Convenient Poke place in Cambridge MA. You are able to customize your own poke ball. There's quite a few similar restaurants around the cambridge area. Overall it is pretty tasty at a reasonable price under $14. Fish was fresh, staffs were nice. Solid place just nothing that really stand out

Gave it three stars because the flavor was good but I’m paying $36 for a bowl and I didn’t like that the amount of salmon was almost nonexistent. There were about 5-7 pieces of salmon like the size or smaller than the picture below. Unacceptable. Won’t be ordering here again.

Pretty mediocre poke place. Base prices are slightly lower than the competition (e.g pokeworks) but it's not a huge difference when you account for the add on prices and I would say the quality is noticeably worse. That's a tough sell when they are basically identical in terms of options and preparation and everything. They have some indoor seating but it really wasn't the ambiance for a dinner either. That said, it is still a fast poke option and as a poke lover I appreciate having it close to me. Wouldn't pick it over the pokeworks in Harvard square if I were equidistant though!

I've eaten here a few times, and the food is mediocre in comparison with other poke restaurants. They also advertise a discount on first-time online orders, but then despite nothing in the offer saying so anywhere in the fine print, they insist there is a minimum threshold for the order and refused to honor it. So the food isn't great and they have shady business practices? Good luck.

Was debating between a few poke spots in the Cambridge/Somerville area, and definitely glad we picked Poke City! Average came to a 4.5, so rounding up the rating to 5 stars here. My partner and I built our own poke bowls: a bowl w two proteins (spicy salmon and spicy tuna) and poke city sauce, and a bowl w three proteins (spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and shoyu salmon) and sesame ginger sauce TASTE: 5/5 fantastic, both of our expectations were exceeded. We both typically load up our bowls w almost all of the mix ins and toppings, and they came out super saucy and flavorful. Favorites included the seaweed salad, mango, and cilantro. Also, first time we've seen a boiled egg option!TEXTURE: 4/5 the fish was perfect, and all of the crunchy toppings, like garlic crunch and onion crisps, added dimensionPRICE: 5/5 the prices are super reasonable!
