Harvest - Cambridge

I saw they had an ice cream cart on the patio for July and August and wanted to check it out. My ****** Mary was fine, but something I'd expect at the neighborhood bar, not a high end restaurant. Our omelette was fluffy and had plenty of mushrooms, but hardly any bacon and definitely not a $20 dish, especially since it comes with greens and not anything heartier. The avocado toast was a rangy piece of bread; generous with the avo, but hardly satisfying. After the entrees, I asked our server about the ice cream cart, and she said they weren't doing it because of Dine Out Boston. This is just bad planning, since Dine Out Boston is two weeks and the ice cream cart is only running for two months. It takes literally 60 seconds to put a post/story up on Instagram to let guests know that a special promotion isn't running if they had done that, we could have avoided the whole situation. Hate to leave this review for such a beloved Cambridge institution, but our experience was mediocre at best.

The restaurant offers a great atmosphere, complemented by some very nice outdoor dining options. While the menu is a bit limited, the food quality and portion sizes are just right.

Restaurant week adventure. Delightful. Beautiful presentation. Will return.

We enjoyed the Dine in Boston lunch menu and will be back another time for some other items on the menu.
