Formaggio Kitchen Kendall - Cambridge

I really appreciate the two Formaggio Kitchen locations in Cambridge. A very interesting selection of fine and interesting foods, both from local craft brands and from other countries and cultures. The staff is very helpful with background and suggestions. They even have fresh baked loaves on the wall behind the register.

The selection of cheese was excellent. The staff is knowledgeable about the cheese they offer.

Gourmet galore! Fabulous meats, cheeses, wine and gourmet foods. Don't go here hungry and it's not cheap but great for a special occasion. Love the many gluten free options too (crackers breads ciders etc). Staff is always lovely and wants to help.

I love formaggio! I have gotten great wine recommendations from the staff at this location. They also helped me pick meats and cheeses for a charcuterie board for a special occasion. I like that you can get small amounts of different meats and cheeses if you're only buying for 1-4 people. Price wise it's a treat but everything I've gotten has been delicious and worth it!

A bit expensive but not much higher than your typical gourmet grocery store in Boston comparable to the prices you'd see in Eataly. However, the staff here is lovely. They have a pretty diverse cheese collection and source tasty bread locally. The cheesemongers have great recommendations and the counter workers are always happy to help with anything giving out ideas for what to do with materials sourced from the store. While I don't recommend going in to look for cheap ingredients, you can expect great specialty products priced somewhat fairly and welcoming staff who are happy to help plan your next cheese night.
