Reys - Cambridge

Before attending a friend's hen party, we had a meal at this restaurant. The whole chicken with homemade BBQ and hot sauce was perfect and truly amazing. We were pleased to find out they had a separate gluten-free fryer, which our friend appreciated since not many places offer this. The veggie option was small but satisfied all of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!

We were seated quickly at our table, but unfortunately that was the only fast service we received. We waited over 30 minutes for our food while tables that arrived after us were served first. When we realized they had forgotten our order, they assured us it would be ready soon, but we ended up waiting an additional 10 minutes. I had to ask for ketchup three times after our meal. We were not offered water and no one checked on us to see if we were enjoying our food, unlike other tables. The food was average and nothing special. Although they tried to make it right with a 20% discount, it was not enough to convince us to return. Save your time and money by going to Nando's instead, where you will get more value and leave happier.

The food and beer are fantastic, and the restaurant is conveniently located near the theatre and shopping areas. The atmosphere is friendly, but be careful of low-hanging lights when you visit the seating area.

Booked last minute for 6 people. Food was great, fast, great service by attentive staff. Would recommend a beautiful, easy-going atmosphere in the centre of Cambridge City.

We had booked to eat in the short time between rehearsal and performing at a concert. When we arrived there was no record of our booking, and we were anxious because there was nowhere else available at short notice. The manager was extremely helpful, found us a table and promised rapid service. We were not disappointed: food arrived very quickly, it was absolutely delicious (one of us had half a chicken, one a salad), just the right size and the prices are very reasonable. We will certainly return to Reys and recommend it to our friends.
