Bidra med feedbackWe chose le flor over several restaurants in the vase, as the location was central and it looked pretty with plant owners around. the service was slow, although we had asked several times, we did not get water, although we had ordered aperitifs and wein. we ordered...magret de canard, as it was on the cooking suggestion menu, but bitterly burnt on it was overcooked and came with a kind of tasteless brown sauce with tasteless pepper grains in it, better suited for a steak. the same sauce seemed to be scattered over the salat. the only desert in the offer was ice cream. it seemed like a waste of a meal.
My man and I visited cambrai with family members and when it was the lunchtime we were looking for a suitable meal. the younger family members have opted for the fast food outlet next door, but we liked the look of le flore. our meal was excellent, we had both pintade with pasta and salat from the special board, and it was delicious. we also had cold beer, hot coffee and good service. we would eat here again if in cambrai again.
After traveling from Britain this morning we were early for our hotel check-in and parked on the market of cambrai. After we hadn't eaten since an early breakfast and had expected a good evening meal, we decided to eat a light lunch in le flore...from the main square at 10 mail st martin. our choices were an salat with two species of salmon and an salat cambresise. both were excellent. the salade cambresise included local sausage and cheese that was a tasty bite with excellent charcuterie and tango cheese. the lachssalat was a very generous portion of smoked and fried salmon in beautiful fresh leaves. the restaurant offered a good a la carte choice and a very popular lunch table d’hote. we decided not to have a weeping as we had to drive. we would go back to this place.
We sat at an open table and made us comfortable. the waiter asked what we wanted to drink, and we ordered wein and also asked for the menu. When the waiter asked after the menu, the waiter made a big jewellery sigh as if it were. too much annoyed. he returned us with a 'observed' sign and casually threw it on our table and went on a table around the corner. it was obvious that he wanted us to move. immediately we left the spatialities. we were visited chambrai for the weekend and found it very difficult to find somewhere suitable to eat. we liked the look and menu of this restaurant, but could not believe that the service we received. very disappointing!
