Bidra med feedbackI have just been told by my old coworkers that it had closed before I had even posted the review. I am very sad to hear about this and hope they open another spot in an area that will appreciate good Indian. Still 5 star food!
Came here for dinner on a Friday night, was pretty empty but the design/decor of the interior is pretty nice! We were greeted and sat promptly. The lady brought us water and crispy snacks with sauce. I ordered a beer and after a few minutes we ordered all the food! We had bhel puri to start this is seriously SO GOOD! I have been wanting to try it forever and this is the first place I have seen it on the menu, so had to try and was so glad I did. It's crunchy, fresh and zesty the perfect appetizer. For entrees, I ordered the paneer in saffron sauce (can't remember the exact name) and my boyfriend got the chicken tikka. Both dishes were huge portions, full of flavor and spice. The sauces were creamy and white white rice and garlic naan, the perfect companions to soak it up. Great price point overall, friendly and prompt service. Parking was easy in the large shopping lot. Just wish it was closer to home, but definitely worth checking out, can't wait to come back.
If there's one thing British people know a little about it's Indian food and Without a shadow of a doubt this is THE best Indian restaurant in our area. We reside up in Carpinteria and make the drive down to Camarillo just to visit this place. The family that owns the restaurant are very hospitable and extremely friendly, we've been customers since 2009 and they always greet us with a friendly smile and a welcome back.
Authentic and delicious. I haven't had great Indian food in a long time since living in Stockton, CA. There are a lot of mom and pop shops there and I was delighted to find Cafe India which far exceeded my expectations. The Tikka Masala and the Butter Chicken were delicious. The spice was perfect and the sauce was so so creamy. The garlic naan is also a must order. Loved this place. Will definitely be back.
First time having having cafe India and I was quite impressed. Tried a little bit of everything and favored the chicken tiki Marsala, BBQ chicken and vegetable fritter. We did the lunch buffet and was the most bang for the buck. For 10 bucks it was hard to beat. Only downside is that the food stand would run out of food but it happens. Overall would go back anytime.
