We came here with our two-year-old daughter and it was obvious that children are not welcome. we were the first and the manager told us that the kitchen was not yet open, but there was a cook working in the open kitchen. he told us that it would take at least 1.5 hours before we could eat; strange thing when the restaurant is empty. we think he mentioned; f*ck off we don't like kids. Never come back as a couple. there is a nice restaurant a bit further in the street called snackbar stute. cheap, friendly and very good
Good attitude. bland food. will not go back. the waiters had no enthusiasm. I had expected a much better meal and service. on the plus side the wee was beautiful.
We came here after my mum had dropped her stuff off at the Hotel Galasol. We were very hungry and drawn in by the wood smoke drifting up, on first impressions the place looked nice, it was a bit of a nightmare carrying our pram...down the stairs and negotiating the tight spaces between the tables but the place was pleasant enough. The second hurdle came when we needed to change our daughter, the only baby changing facility is in the ladies toilet, although there is only one cubicle with a lock which makes up the ladies toilet, my partner was told he was not allowed to change her. Initially drawn in by the smell of the smoke my partner and I decided to have the beef espetada for 2 which cost 19.95€, my mum chose the sea bass which, to be fair, was very nice, however, we were both bitterly disappointed to find out that the Espetada for 2 consisted of just one skewer of 6 small, tough pieces of meat. If you go anywhere else on the Island not only will you find better quality meat but you can expect 6 pieces on a skewer for one person at half the price! (Incidentally the price for Espetada for one person at this place was 9.95€ for four pieces of meat). My advice would be to ask before you order and venture off the tourist track for good value food!
We only had lunch here as we were half board at our hotel. It is nice and quiet at lunch times and we normally had their cheese and ham toasties which came with either fried maze or chips. We went a couple of times and...enjoyed the pretty setting and good service.
