Ruta Ukrainian - Calumet-Norvelt

I met my wife when living in Ukraine. Got out 5 days before the Russian invasion with her son then brought her adult niece to the US. It is hard on my new family to be so far from home in a different country but Ruta gives us a taste of and memories of Ukraine. Great service and everything has been good. Not a huge variety of entre options but all the essentials. Children Kyiv, several varieties of borscht, Stroganoff and varieties of varenyky. The honey cake for desert tops it all off. My family loves it all so you know it is authentic.

Amazing food, great service, and a tempting view of all the small vendors. Will be back again.

For someone who is Ukrainian, it is good to see a restaurant serving good familiar dishes. After eating here three times, I still can't get over the tiny portions. How is the size of the Borscht smaller than the amount of sourcream on the side. For such simple food, this place is incredibly overpriced. Also, not everything here is fresh, varenyky were clearly frozen and not made by hand. For the price they charge, four pieces seems like a slap in the face. This place needs to serve much bigger portions!

RUTA, is the best Ukrainian restaurant in the world! Fine quality, amazing variety of food in menu. Highest recommendation.
