The Pig -b-q - Callahan

Food is good, atmosphere is great service is great. This place stays packed! I can't handle a lot of people at one time. So my rating on the atmosphere is a 3. Other than that I like it.

Some of the best country cooking I've ever had! We came on a Sunday and their buffet had fried chicken better than any restaurant around. If you're anywhere near here for lunch, definitely stop by. They said they can get pretty busy here, but the wait will be worth it.

They have good cole slaw. I would expect better meat product for a place calling themselves a BBQ joint though.

Do NOT eat here! Terrible, horrible service! My family has always loved the Pig but their customer service has gotten terrible. The girl who answers the phone is extremely rude and unhelpful. We?ve had several deaths in our family over the past year so we?ve ordered take out multiple times for the family?s wake(s) because that is what our family has always liked. The first time we called to order take out and she was rude, we thought maybe she was having a bad day which everyone does; the second time, she was rude again, but we persisted because this hasn?t been our experience in year?s past, so the third time, I asked my husband to call the order in to see if he had the same experience and sure enough, he did. We?ve spent a small fortune there over the past many months and we continued to give them chances solely based on our experience from year?s past but tonight, we called to place a personal take out order, and lo and behold, the rude girl is back on the phone taking orders again but we didn?t even finish placing our order due to her rudeness. I should have listened to everyone else and went with Callahan BBQ for all of our events and personal take out orders where the food and service are always pleasant and superior. Do yourself a favor and choose Callahan BBQ or any other restaurant in Callahan where the folks are generally nice and welcoming.

Great staff and awesome waitress BUT THE FOOD IS AWESOME!! HANDS DOWN!! Best in Callahan and Jax...
