Albergo Ristorante Bar Belvedere

After being unable to obtain a table for Sunday lunch at village recommended in a UK travel article, we were delighted to happen upon Albergo Belvedere, with spectacular views of wooded valley and hills. Despite our late arrival well after 2 pm we were warmly welcomed and assisted to understand the menu of the day. There were two choices for every course, which change according to season, availability of local ingredients and the chefs daily inspiration. Every dish we had was freshly prepared, enormous in proportion and reminiscent of traditional home cooking. A bottle of red or white vino della casa was included in the menu, as was freshly baked bread the best we’ve had on our Italian holiday! The service was helpful our Italian is very limited and genuinely friends and we couldn’t believe that this huge meal including drinks was only E20 each! Belvedere is recommended for a taste of Italian family cooking and hospitality.
