My wife and I tried Trullo Trattoria for the first time on the evening of April 11. It exceeded our expectations. There was a nice level of conversation from the 6 occupied tables to make the casual atmosphere very relaxed and enjoyable. My wife and I had a glass of Valpolicella and shared the calamari which was the tastiest we’ve ever had anywhere. My wife had the chicken dish (Pollo which she said was the nicest dish she’s had in a restaurant in the longest time; plated and presented beautifully. I was craving veal so I had the bolognese, which was excellent and also presented wonderfully. Although we didn’t have dessert, we did have a cappuccinos to end the experience. (When we go back again, we must try the Olive Oil Cake wow! . The chef is a master; top quality for certain. Rod, our waiter was outstanding and had a great sense of humour. The young woman who seated us, sadly we did not get her name, was very polite and friendly. We will be back to this restaurant in Oak Bay Plaza in Oakridge soon.
