Swiss Chalet - Calgary

Amazing!. I had the most amazing experience here on the weekend. I had the best server ever who informed me that there was an allergy guide which greatly helped me with my meal selection. Why don't more places have these? She was friendly and attentive and I would absolutely come back. She got a really good tip because of her knowledge and friendliness. My meal was delicious, the chicken was so tender and juicy and the greek style meal was amazing and nice for a change! Very pleased with my experience.

Good Value for Good Food. We've rarely had a disappointing meal at Swiss Chalet. Their rotisserie chickens are always cooked to tender perfection with that crispy sticky skin being my absolute fave. <br/ <br/ With today's prices as they are, Swiss Chalet impresses me with the value of the meal compared to the price. Two people can sit down, be served and dine in a comfortable pleasant, (but not fancy) atmosphere for under $20.00! I am hard pressed to identify other similar establishments. <br/ <br/ The kids 1/4 chicken meal is an amazing value...it's $2.00 less but basically the same as the adult one, minus the bread roll. And unlike the adult one, it comes with a drink and dessert! That's really hard to beat. <br/ <br/ Way to go Swiss Chalet you are keeping decent family dining out affordable!

Swiss Chalet is a comfort food for me, so I really enjoy it. It's consistently good at this location, except the broccoli and cauliflower have been undercooked several times, but not a big deal. The food is typically served super fast and the service is usually good overall, with the very odd time being slow. We recently had dinner here and Michael was our server. He was definitely the best server we've had there, or anywhere, really! There were three families that I saw him serving, side by side, all with 2 or 3 kids. He was friendly, attentive, checked back often, and even checked directly with the kids how their meals were. He brought food and drinks back quickly, and anything else we asked for. He even brought the kids the toy chest, which was the first time I'd seen this in this location. He was absolutely amazing!!! It was the first time we've had him as a server but I hope it won't be the last.

I live in the area, and have been coming to this location regularly for the last few years. The interior is nice enough and decently clean. The food is alright for the price, usually served hot and in a timely manner, and the flavour is good. When I get it as takeout it comes out quickly and is still hot by the time I get it home. I've never had a complaint about the food.However, if you're looking for good service, this is not the location. The servers are nice enough, but the service is slow, uninterested, and disorganized. On more than one occasion I have either walked out (sit down) before even getting a drink, or I've walked out before even being seated due to lack of attention or a server getting me to a table, or getting around to my table. On other occasions, especially when they're busy, I've had to walk up to a server coming out of the kitchen just to get a bill for the table to be able to pay and go.
