Spice Cafe and Lounge - Calgary

Love, love, love their Malaysian curry on rice. Right amount of spice to give that kick. They have raised the prices from when I first started coming here but good Malaysian food is hard to find in this city. Until then, it's a good spot for lunch!

Great and easy access Malaysian food +15 (one of very few in Calgary)  <br/ <br/ Location: Great for professionals on west end of downtown, +15 access for colder days<br/ Ambiance: Good seating area, might get full early (go before noon if you want to make sure seating is available)<br/ Service: Very friendly staff<br/ Food Quality: Excellent<br/ (Try super hot option if you like spicy food)<br/ Food Quantity: Decent portions<br/ Restrooms: N/A<br/ Value for Money (VFM): 6.5/10 (expensive)<br/ <br/ Overall Experience: Great tasting Malaysian for lunch on +15 level with friendly service.

Awesome curry. They have $10 specials everyday. Excellent Malaysian curry. I dont know what the other reviewer is talking about because you just go up to the counter, order your food, and sit down and they will bring it out. Thats it. Oh and its in the +15 so really convinient in the winters.

Self Serve idea?. Great food! Excellent if you like spicy have to ask for and +15 friendly<br/ <br/ Odd things...<br/ To order, fill out your menu form includes beverages , then walk the menu back to the till, when finish, walk to the till to pay. ??? <br/ <br/ Also, if you order water comes in foam cups and written on playing cards as table number.<br/ <br/ I wouldn't go there for a date... go there for the food!

Best Laksa in the city!. Whenever I'm feeling sick or just need some delicious soup to warm my tummy this is the place I go to.
