Pig and Duke - Calgary

I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday specifically for their Frog Legs Wednesday special, which offers wings and frog legs for 45 cents each in a variety of flavors. The wing flavors offered cover the basics and include unique options like Gangnam Style. The restaurant has the atmosphere of a typical pub, with friendly service from the waitress who brought our drinks and food. The bathrooms were clean.

I watched the Scotland v England game at this restaurant yesterday. I want to thank all the staff who were able to accommodate around 25 people at the last minute after Brewster's on 11th Avenue cancelled the day before. The service and food were very good, and I will definitely use this venue again in the future.

This restaurant has the ambiance of a cozy neighborhood pub. I enjoy the food and atmosphere, however, on my last few visits, I have found the service to be lacking. It took what felt like 20 to 25 minutes before we received our drinks. While I understand that it can get busy and food may take longer, I believe drinks should be served promptly as we all need a little refreshment after a long day.

Solid downtown pub lunch choice although in a perennially plagued location on the southwest corner of 4th street and 4th ave SW. Now I've only tried one item the buffalo chicken wrap but it was well presented with a unique take on a Caesar salad and rang in under $12. Plus did I mention the great beer selection? I will be back FO SHO!

In our second night in Calgary we were looking for something casual but fun near our hotel. We checked her menu and passed. It looks like there are a lot of office workers who enjoy drinks and also NFL football fans ready for Thursday night football. My wife had to try a caesar cocktail since we were in Canada, and she was loaded. I had only one handcrafted beer and the pulled pork sandwich, while my wife had the ginger beer (an other Canadian creation). The prices were appropriate for a pub in downtown and we enjoyed the lively energy this night.
