Lorenzo's Pizzeria - Calgary

The pizza was amazing and the service was incredibly friendly. They made me feel very welcome, which was especially nice as a solo traveler in a foreign country. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely go back if I find myself in the area again.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of authentic dough, from basic to exotic options, all in one place. It is truly unmatched in Calgary and is considered one of the city's best hidden gems.

Stopped by for an amazing slice of thin-crust pizza (hawaiian) tonight and was so impressed. The crust and sauce are definitely highlights. Cooking technique really polishes those elements off in addition to some decent quality toppings. Whether you're having some drinks in the neighbourhood or looking for a place out to eat this is a really nice pizzeria.

Ordered a medium Balsamic chicken pizza and a medium quattro formaggio from the 17th Ave location this past wknd, around 9pm on Friday night. The Balsamic chicken was unbelievably delicious, the chicken was so moist and tender, not dry or chewy (as I had feared it might be), and the roasted peppers and cheese were perfect accompaniment to the sweet and savoury balsamic chicken. The quattro formaggio was deliciously cheezy and gooey, but extremely salty, unfortunately. So we added fresh sliced tomatoes to the pizza just so we could eat it, I think they went kinda heavy handed on the parm...?<br/ <br/ Overall, both pizzas were very good, once the salt overdose issue was resolved. Crust was crispy and held up despite the abundant cheese and toppings, and the pizzas were HUGE. This explained the price points as well, I felt like these guy's medium is like a large everywhere else. Fortunately, we love pizza and ate the leftovers the next day! Delivery through Skip the Dishes took just over an hour though, so order well in advance and don't be put off, it's definitely worth the wait.
