Husky House - Calgary

I must admit to having a soft spot for all day steak and eggs, hot hamburger sandwiches drowning in greasy gravy and coffee that burns your guts out. The fluorescent lighting gives it an institutional feel, like a prison mess hall. This is where I go at 4 am when I can't sleep. It's comforting.

Amazing breakfast. This is a greasy spoon truck stop, I think most reviewers are expecting this to be a trendy place that will close down in 6 months but it is not! The food was fantastic and the service was fast, what more could you ask for when going out for breakfast? Order a side of perogies with your breakfast, you won't be disappointed!

We were promptly served by Jill with a cheery greeting even though the weather was terrible! Her service was awesome as was our breakfast. More flavourful than at higher priced establishments. Will return

Good diner, good service. I've been going here for years, it's not blow your mind amazing, but when you need a quick bite at a good price it's a great place to pop in. The poutine is enormous for the price, and the breakfast is really good too. One of the few places that will actually let you play a game of cards at the table without giving you the whole AGLC warning about gambling also. Can't people play a game of crib anywhere anymore without management freaking out about gambling. Who gambles on cribbage?

Decent diner. Food is fast and tastes OK. Typical diner service, fairly fast and efficient with few frills. Lots of choices on the menu.
