Farmers House - Calgary

Lovely wee place in the trendy Marda Loop neighbourhood, did their best to accommodate our large party of 10. Comprehensive breakfast menu with plenty of choice for vegetarians (can ask for anything minus the meat options). The lady working the front of house was lovely despite the stress we caused as a fussy lot of 10. Food was good, I had wrap with baked eggs, tomato sauce, pesto and cheese with a side of roasted potatoes. Portion size a little large, I struggled to finish it but this is better than being too small.

Lunch was a little disappointing for me. I had the meatloaf sub and found the meat wasn't that tasty, however, the salad was $15.50. I usually have the Ploughman's Lunch and would recommend that over the special. My friend had the Frittata and found that was good.

Simple, but very good food choices. Usually get the pizza & a Salad. Feels nice just to sit out on the patio, enjoy the sun in the summer & eat good quality food.

Second time we've eaten here but first time with a toddler. They do not accommodate kids. We were told they could not do just one waffle as order is for 3. We had the egg sandwich (definitely the best buy) and the other 2 of us had the Brie sandwich. The food was good but overpriced. Nice cozy ambience.

We'd been meaning to come here for some time, and last night was the night. A nice ambiance, and good, fresh food at reasonable prices. The service was really good, and I would come back again, guaranteed.A sure winner to me is home-made ketchup! My husband had the daily frittata special with potatoes, which came with exceptional ketchup. I don't know why, but a restaurant that does this is always special in going that extra mile in my mind.
