Bidra med feedbackOur daughter arriving at the luncheon of the station, arriving at the buffet of the Calais train station and lunch a great fish meal and excellent inflating coffee with drink for a sum of derisory for a Sunday. It wasn't the first time or the last time. we started the aero on the terrace but the sun decided otherwise. and all this in a family atmosphere
With my elders at very friendly front of the housewife. we had menus and I had a la carte with the goat cheese and smoked salmon salad for beginners who was beautiful and fresh, followed by piece de boeuf and vegetables (the dame acquainted me on no carbohydrate diet without additional cost) my elders had salmon and cabillaud with king prawns, they both said perfect and they were perfectly cooked. then papa had a cafe-gourmand, which had a large plate with different tos size cake and an espresso. washed off with a beautiful, very bright gascoigne rose. wonderful service. will be back!
Have used this several times before catching our train. Ideally situated. Screen shows times of trains. Good service. Staff friendly. Lovely cup of tea.
I was looking for lunch and this place was open, well it is every day 07h to 22h. I was pleasantly surprised with the service, great food, good coffee and the whole environment. It is right at the Gare de Calais and is a bar,...brasserie and restaurant. Multi-lingual friendly staff and clean. There is a lot of parking nearby or you can travel by train.
We have eaten lunch here several times on our way to catch the train for the Tunnel and have always found it very good. There is a good variety of food and the menu ay 19.50 euros is great value. They also serve some of the largest Kirs around and are happy for me to take my dog and always provide drinking water. Imagine then, how sad it was to hear yesterday that we would be some of their last customers as they were closing that day due to rising costs and the French economy. What a shame. We will certainly miss stopping off there. Good Luck to all the staff and thank you.
