We had the most wonderful Italian dinner at this elegant restaurant in the Four seasons hotel. I wisely made a reservation online ahead of time for 7 pm when they open and we were seated at a lovely table near a window overlooking the Nile. The menu features Italian and Mediterranean style food with a nice collection of salads, house made pastas meat and fish. We started with the roasted tomato bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella which was atop their crispy house made bread and shaped a bit like muffins. Fabulous! For mains I savored the luscious Amatricana pasta which was hand-made tortellini with a beef filling and set over a bed of three creamy sauces (red, basil and bechamel. It’s probably a bit misnamed since a true amatricana has pecorino, pancetta and red pepper flakes, but it was really really good. My wife loved the asparagus risotto and they were kind enough to add some shrimp to it on her request. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of an Egyptian red blend wine and finished with a trio of gelato. Also, we had a really kind and friendly young man named Bahy as our waiter who took excellent care of us. After enjoying Jordanian Lebanese and Egyptian food for a number of days this was a nice change of pace and extremely tasty. The elegant, adults-only setting was great too. Highly recommended
