Sheridan Bar & Grill - Cairns

Could not believe this hotel! ! Third floor room and no lift to start with. Room was clean but that was the only good thing about it - oh and a reasonable TV. Antiquated is the word for it and fixtures mended with cellotape. Give it a miss - they should pay you to stay there. This is 2016 not 1950....

We used to frequent the Mt Sheridan Tavern often when we stayed in Cairns for work. We tried again this year and had a counter meal in the front bar, we ordered the steak and veg. We were asked if we wanted chips and we said no expecting potato (as we ordered veg) but we were surprised to receive our steak with a few veg only. What is happening to staff these days that they cant be bothered to explain to a patron that if you dont order the chips it doesnt mean you get potato. How do we know what comes with the dish! Please tell us wait people. We also had dinner in the restaurant part on pasta night and whilst it used to be awesome this was also a very average meal. Have to say though the guy who served he was training a new guy, had great customer service - keep up the good work.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Toller Ausblick vom Zimmer aus auf den Pool und ein Super Bett. Einfach toll. Herrlich um hier zu verweilen.

Had dinner at the restaurant which was apart of the motel, was great food, and well priced. table next to the pool, and also one night had it on my balcony. would highly reccommend.

Staying at the Queens Court just down the road there was no evening meal so on the advice of the receptionist I went to the sheridan bar and grill, it looked a bit fancy from the outside but when I went in it was very nice, on entering and asking if I could have a table the lady that greeted me led me to a table gave me a menu and asked me if I would like a drink When I ordered my food it didn't take long for it to arrive and it was brilliant, the prawns were very well cooked and the sauce very, very good, the same goes for the chicken noodles very well cooked and very well presented. I would certainly recomend this restaurant to anyone wanting a very good meal at a very good price.
