Chez Jackie - Cahors

I had the salad Lotoise, with foie gras, smoke duck slices and gizzards as well as greens. It is substantial enough for a dinner and was delicious. The foie gras was first rate, the duck breast slices had a wonderful smoky flavour and even the gizzards were succulent. In contrast, I had a salad at a Cahors brasserie where the smoked duck tasted mostly of salt and the gizzards were dry brown lumps. An excellent dinner and good value to boot.

I love pancakes but need to be gluten-free. Traditional French galettes, made with buckwheat flour, are the answer! Softer and chunkier than the better know crepes, mine was served with ratatouille and salad. The aubergine was cooked to divine perfection, a rare treat! Big choice of fillings with crepes or galettes, and after the one course we were too full for pudding! We were able to sit on the pavement in the sunshine, and the atmosphere felt very French. Mum and I speak good French but were impressed with the waitress's English. A wonderful find, tucked down a quiet side road

Stylish, smart surroundings in old town with efficient friendly service. Extensive choice of salads, crepes and desserts. Food well prepared and presented. Made a pleasant change from more traditional cuisine. would certainly look to return again.

We met the boss by booking at the nearby restaurant. The charming setting of a very old house, so respected and so neat, conquered us as much as its smiling and welcoming owner who made us taste his specialty of old pancakes while we were at the nearby restaurant and who made us visit his home. We couldn't stop having lunch with her the next day and enjoy her cooked dishes as well as her excellent salted and sweet pancakes with new and inventive fillings, not to mention the service, reception and control of the patron saint on his dishes and not to mention the monkeys widely served. We want to go back to Cahors at Jackie's.

The dishes are delicious, very affordable the name of crêperie reduced for dishes served like magrets. Recommendation
