Bidra med feedbackStopped by for lunch and really impressed. First off the view: lovely roof terrace with a sweeping vista across the city. Magnificent. Food was decent too. To be fair we weren’t expecting much as this has more of a cafe bar feel but were pleasantly surprised. A great bowl of pasta with a lovely ragu and a mixed salad brimming with egg, potato, tuna, toms, mozzarella, lettuce... for €7.50. Proper value for money. All told a little gem of a place. Plus the service was spot on. Well worth a visit.
Stopped here for coffee because the church was closed. Unexpectedly a nice caffe with a hidden panoramic terrazza. Good coffe, nice service. Good place to stop before or after visiting the church.
Terrible owner, really impolite. He doesn't deserve the place that he's in charge of. He should go back to middle school instead of running a local.
The view is amazing, we did not try the food, but only had afternoon drinks, took the photos, would definitely recommend for the views and taking photos.
The trouble is, when your USP is a glittering view across the entire city, you don 't put any effort into either service or surroundings. It 's the trouble with Caffe delle Arti, perched high, high above the metropolis. We took the No1 bus up most of the way, but you can also use one of Cagliari 's cutesy town lifts. You walk in to an unremarkable square room, then ascend a steep slope to your left to reach the reason for coming here at all the terrace. Whoa, what was that? Ah, like me you must just have tripped over one of the paving stones holding down the thingy that holds the sun brollies in place. It 's hazardous. Still, the loos are interesting; stone floors, intriguing lobby. Food wise, it 's salads, focaccia, proscuitto, wine glasses from 4e, coffees and teas. Service is offhand, even surly. No one bothers at this place. I suppose they think the view will bring punters in, and that those punters will never return. They 're right. We won 't. Marble topped tables, behind you a kind of '70s polytechnic ' architecture, and loud disco music. What are they thinking? But enjoy the view over the rooftops as you wait for the waitress in her Warsteiner themed black shirt to appear. Oh, and the latte tasted burnt.
