El Solar de Guemes - Cafayate

We were looking for a wine bar at 7 p.m. and most were closed. We went past Guemes 125 and almost didn't stop when it looked like a restaurant. We were wondering if we could stop a drink, and they said we'd show ourselves in a nice backyard. We asked Juan to recommend a terrontes white wine that was dry but not too dry and his recommendation was on site. We followed this with a mixed Blanc he said was his favorite and an excellent Malbec. We chose a variety of small dishes from the menu and the food was also excellent. The highlight was the Rindertaco. An excellent place to eat a drink and a bite.

Very good local food, parrillada . Beautiful folkloristic show of dance and music . People come to the artists in a very happy, authentic Argentine way. Not to miss.
