Bidra med feedbackWent there with my husband during our andalusian trip and just highly recommend this lovely little cafe to everyone. The warmest welcome by the couple who run this little gem for ages. Beautiful homemade food. Really relaxing in this wonderful little village. Thanks, Andy, Krisz from Fuengirola
We have eaten here several times when in Spain and always enjoyed the Bacon and poached egg breakfast, a real treat when you fancy a tasty breakfast. Di and Robin are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You get complimentary home made biscuits with your Tea or Coffee , yum ! and there are often home made cake treats on offer.
We recently visited the Alpujarras on holiday and after reading the reviews on here decided to give Pagamenos (which means Pay Less! a go. On arrival we were greeted by a very happy lady by the name of Diane and before we could even sit down she gave us a map of the local area that is printed by the Junta and had loads of information about the area, culture, food etc all in English! This actually helped my son do his What I did over the Christmas Holidays story for school! We then decided to try the food and thought that it would be a problem as my partner is a vegetarian. But Robin proved to be exceptionally helpful and totally different from most other eating houses, that seem to think that simply removing the meat makes a vegetarian meal! Myself and the boys all had a homemade Beef Burger that was huge, inexpensive and freshly prepared, whilst Jayne had a homemade Vegetable crumble with side salad and fresh baked Baguette! To put it simply it was sublime! We then got directions to mini hollywood, Trevelez (the highest town in main land Spain! and a few other places! We cannot speak highly enough of the service, food and just general helpfulness of everyone, even their regular clientele made us feel very welcome! Keep up the good work and hopefully we will visit again on our next visit to the Granada Province! David and Jayne Dixon
What a surprise, we drove for 1 and a half hours from Granada, into the mountains and found an English (sorry Di British) owned and run, family restaurant. Loads of choice, loads of help on offer and a mine of local information! They even helped us to sort out a place to stay for the night!! Thanks to you guys we found a beautiful place to stay and will not hesitate to recommend you to everyone! Cheers Graham and Debs
I visited this cafe many times on my recent visit to the Alpujarras in Andalusia. Located on the outskirts of Cadiar it is an ideal place for a quick snack or a meal in friendly surroundings. Spanish are not really into quick snacks or takeaway which can be a problem for those traveling with limited time. Rob D, an English couple have made this place an ideal stopping place. The food is all cooked to order and very well presented. There is a shop on the premises which has a very good range of English food. There is an outside terrace, parking is easy and WIFI is also available. There are occasional special function nights. Generally open 9:30 to 4:00 Mon to Sat. Web site:
