Bidra med feedbackGreat food and good company! This is a very special place with Vermont village charm at its best
OMG! We were biking and stopped for breakfast. BEST EVER! Sarah was AWESOME! We made it 30mi further to our destination on her cooking
Just left with my husband. Sarah is amazing. It got so packed all at once and she had everything in order and the food came out so good . We will be coming every year when we visit VT. One of the nicest ladies I’ve met by far.
Being in Sarah's Country Diner was like taking a step back in time. I can only echo what the previous reviewer said about eating there is just like eating a home-cooked meal. I had the veggie omelette and it just might have been the tastiest breakfast I've ever eaten out. While waiting for our food, Sarah had a conversation with her very pregnant daughter about all sorts of every day things, and if I didn't know better, I'd have thought I'd been transported to Mayberry R.F.D. while waiting for Aunt Bee to finish cooking my food.
There is only one place to eat a proper meal in Cabot, and the good news is that it 's Sarah 's Country Diner. This was my second visit there as part of my family 's annual autumn excursion to Vermont, and we had been talking about it all year. Much to our dismay, when we got there, the owner seemed to be closing up for the day. When we explained that we had come from Philadelphia and this was our one chance to have her delicious burgers, she wiped down a table for us and fired up the grill. Eccentrically tucked in the back of a hardware store that also includes a bar with local wine and beer selections, Sarah 's Country Diner nails the American aesthetic perfectly. The setting is intimate, and the owner happy to converse on a wide range of topics from politics to lambing . We have only had the hamburgers but I will expand my horizons when we make our third trip next year. This is a must-stop for travelers in search of a real Vermont experience.
