Bidra med feedbackFood was edible, but just. Would not recommend at all. Turkey soup was bland, beef and broccoli bland, and worse fries ever.
I am a bit surprised by the other two earlier reviews. We stopped there on the way back from Gros Morne to St. John's for a quick lunch. While Newfoundlanders are generally known to be friendly (and they are!) we were "welcomed" by a running waitress that only said "No Chinese Food" as a welcome as she walked straight past us... The restaurant was not very busy but ordering took a while. Once ordered, the food came fairly fast though. The menu is I guess typical from most rural NL places (you know the menu without looking at it: various flavours of comfort food). We got fish and chips that were OK. The waitress seem grumpy from the start to the end. Price was fair. I guess it is better than eating cold sandwiches in your car, but it was clearly one of the worst experiences I had in a decade in NL... I would recommend stopping at Grand Falls-Windsor instead. I think a better service would have made it better but for us, it was a fair bad experience.
We stopped here for lunch on our way to Adeytown and what a pleasant treat it was. Excellent owners very friendly and the food was phenomenal. And a great value for money.
We just stopped in for a coffee. Although here was no WiFi advertised, it is available and works well. We eventually decided to stay for lunch. First class fish and chips!. I was somewhat surprised when she offered gravy with the fries (with fish ??) but it turned out to be a great add-on. Excellent home made gravy with no extra salt and no lumps. Yummy.
I went to this restaurant for lunch and had a great experience. It's a short walk from the beach and offers good value for the money. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals.
